Privacy Policy
SnapWorth.ai values your trust. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you interact with our website and mobile experience. SnapWorth.ai is operated from the United States and is the controller of the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, contact support@snapworth.ai.
Information we collect
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and sign-in identifiers (including via Sign in with Apple or Google). When you use the app we collect the photos you capture and the item details, valuations, and inventory lists generated from them; your subscription and purchase status; and usage analytics, crash reports, and performance data that help us keep the service reliable.
If you grant location permission, we attach your location to saved listings so they can appear on your map. Location is optional — if you decline, items simply won’t have coordinates, and you can revoke access at any time in your device Settings.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.
How we use it
Data is used to deliver, improve, and personalize SnapWorth.ai. This includes powering identification features, surfacing relevant marketplaces, and responding to inquiries. Photos you capture are processed by AI service providers (currently Google’s Gemini models) to identify items and estimate their value. We do not use your photos to train AI models, and under our service terms with our AI providers, they do not use your content to train theirs.
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, our legal bases are: performance of our contract with you (providing scans, valuations, and subscriptions), our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, and service analytics), and your consent (location tagging and any marketing emails), which you can withdraw at any time.
If you share a listing link, the contents of that listing — including its photos and pricing — are visible to anyone who has the link.
We rely on trusted service providers that process data on our behalf: Google Firebase (authentication, database, photo storage, analytics, and crash reporting), Google AI (item identification), RevenueCat (subscription management), Apple (payments), and marketplace data sources such as eBay. We also rely on aggregated, anonymized insights to understand feature performance and to protect the app from abuse.
Your choices
You can delete your account and its associated data directly in the app (Settings → Delete Account). You can also reach out at support@snapworth.ai to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data — including rights you may have under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. You may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those messages.
We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the features you use or to comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account, your data is removed promptly; residual copies may persist in routine backups for a short period (up to about 30 days) before being purged.
SnapWorth is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored and processed in the United States on Google Cloud infrastructure. If you use SnapWorth from the EEA, the UK, or another region with data-transfer rules, your information is transferred to the US under safeguards provided by our service providers, such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses, as applicable. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice in the app or by email before the changes take effect, and the “Last updated” date below will change.
Security
We use encryption and routinely review access controls to help safeguard your information. Please keep your login credentials private and report any suspicious activity.
